Lumpectomy also called as conservation breast surgery is partial removal of infected part or lump or cancerous cells.
Mastectomy means total removal of breast.

Most of the patient who have lumpectomy will undergo radiation therapy. Also know as radiotherapy typically uses targeted, high energy x-rays to kill cancer cells.
After breast surgery, chemotherapy is given but before radiotherapy. This helps in getting rid of remaining cancerous cells and thus prevents re occurrence of breast cancer. For those with metastatic breast cancer, chemotherapy is used to kill cancer cells that have spread from the breast to other parts of the body. Chemotherapy usually lasts 3-6 months.
These are drugs specially designed to attack certain kinds of molecular agents. These vary from patient to patient.
I was detected with breast cancer in Dec 2018 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. I went for some prelim workup in South Africa, however soon found out that cost of treatment in South Africa is very very high as compared to India. I contacted Mr Sandeep from Sahyogita and he helped me find out not only a very good hospital but also very economical one. Rates of this hospital was almost half as compred to other hospitals in India. I went to the hospital, did my breast conservative surgery, afterwards chemo. Now I am totally free from any disease. Right from medical visa, airport pickc up, guest house arrangement, everything was arranged by Mr Sandeep. Sandeep goes extra miles to help patients. We shall ever be grateful to Sandeep for all the help & care provided in India.
